Brief introduction:

Cat Excavator 3304 cartridge type valve is the adjustable hydraulic pressure relief valve. There are two types, direct adjustable pressure relief valve, pilot operated adjustable pressure relief valve.

The pilot operated adjustable pressure relief valve consists of two parts, one part is composed of the main valve portion by the orifice spool; other part is composed by the cone valve and a spring pressure adjusting portion.

When the pressure oil into the valve chamber from the inlet pressure exceeds the preset pressure of the spring to chamber through the orifice, the pressure valve chamber into oil poppet valve to open the top oil through the spool center hole outflow valve chamber.

The role of the orifice and between the pressure difference is generated, shifting the spool into the oil cavity and back to the flow of the valve chamber and the main valve starts to overflow. The external control port with remote relief valve connection, it should change the compressed state regulator spring at this time. External control port is connected to the oil tank, the oil pump in the the unloading state oil pump in a no-load operation.
