Brief introduction:

The HPA-9C series of cartridge type hydraulic manual hand pump is one kind of the hydraulic cartridge valves.

How it works of cartridge type hydraulic manual hand pump: the piston is moving down and up to control the flow in or out. The volume between the piston and valve cavity is increase while the piston moves up, the oil is absorbed into the cavity through the check valve 1, on the contrary, the volume between the piston and valve cavity is decrease while the piston moves down, oil is pushed out of the cavity through the check valve 2, and the check valve1 is preventing leakage and keeping the pressure until the cavity is empty.

How to troubleshoot and repair the cartridge type hydraulic manual hand pump:

If you find out in the maintenance its following three causes of the malfunction, the following practices to modify the hand pumps:
1. Checking whether there is an internal leakage, the easiest way is to raise the handle, to check there is significant free to fall, if yes, please disassemble it to check if there are worn seals needed to be replaced.

2. Please check the abrasion of check valves, first cleaning check valves, confirmation wear of the spool should be timely replacement. Check valve installed, if still no change, then check the the spool wear, the clearance use limits generally 0.06mm badly worn should be replaced.
